Hydraulic OverviewSimplified ManifoldsEvery stabilisation device is serviced by a dedicated manifold block. The manifold sits between the hydraulic supply and the actuator and contains all necessary hydraulics controls for the actuator. Manifolds are supplied complete with integral drip tray and cable junction box. The precision drilled aluminum manifolds make extensive use of cartridge valve technology to improve reliability and reduce piping. Hydraulics Power PacksEach stabilisation device has a certain oil flow requirement that can be delivered from a variety of sources. The simplest arrangement is to provide a dedicated hydraulic power source at each device. Increased redundancy and efficiency can be achieved by grouping some or all devices on a common manifold sharing the same hydraulic pump set. It is also possible to share a common hydraulic pump set with non stabilising equipment. In such an arrangement, the stabilisation system could utilise the pumps of the deck equipment that may otherwise not be utilised when at sea at sea. |
